What is STEM Racing?
STEM Racing is a program where middle and high school aged students from around the world build, design, and race model Formula One cars at competitions. To do this, we need to raise funds to offset building and travel costs.
Department Overview
Engineering
Our engineers design our F1 car using Autodesk Fusion, focusing on aerodynamics and reducing weight while meeting competition regulations. Once the design is finalized, the car is manufactured using CNC machining. Through careful design and analysis, the team works to create the fastest and most efficient car possible.
Enterprise
The enterprise department is responsible for handling all of the team's marketing strategies and graphic design components. There are two managers for the department, one for the graphic design aspect and one for the sponsorship and marketing side, and a handful of other members dedicated to ensuring that the team has gained enough sponsors and a strong team identity. The sponsorship and marketing aspect includes contacting companies for donations in both fiscal amounts and gifts-in-kind, as well as making their own personalized ask letters and sponsorship packets. As for the graphic design portion, the department is responsible for creating the team's logos, uniforms, and other submission aspects.
Management
The management department is made up of two people, the resource manager and the team manager. They work together to budget, regulate money, and plan schedule events for the club.
