Sunflower Times #3
Happy Easter!
We apologize for the break in updating, but we have some good news! We have spent the past 3 weeks preparing for Nationals, which also included a trip to England!
To begin, all departments are in the final stages of finishing our portfolios. The portfolios are 11 page documents that each department prepares to hand to the judges before competition starts. Everything that we want to judges to know about our team, process, and deliverables has to be in these portfolios. We spend months working on them to ensure they are perfect before we head to competition.
Now, we are in the home stretch. Our team has spent countless hours perfecting every last detail, and we are excited to show them off!
Moving on to the fun stuff!
For spring break, a large portion of our team went on a school trip to England! We spent 8 days there, focusing on different STEM things.
We started at the Royal Greenwich Observatory, then went to the London Natural History Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Cheddar Caves, Oxford, Bletchley Park, the Mini Cooper Factory, and finishing at the London Science Musuem. It was such a fun trip and we made countless memories that we will all treasure for years.

See you all at Nationals and thank you for staying up to date on all the Sunflower Racing happenings! Again, we apologize for the missed issues.
Warm regards,
The Sunflower Times Editors,
Ella and Emma
